Four things I believe
about this job
Regulated environments teach discipline
Nine years of my career has been inside audited estates — customs processing, a JICA-funded national infrastructure project, logistics under compliance review. That environment does not reward clever shortcuts. It rewards change control, evidence, and being able to explain a decision six months later.
I learned security from the inside out
I did not arrive at security through theory. I arrived through years of owning the network, the directory and the endpoints — which means when an alert fires I already know what normal looks like on that segment, and I can tell a misconfiguration from an intrusion quickly.
If it is worth doing twice, it is worth scripting
Backups on rsync and cron, routine checks in shell scripts, hardening measured against a benchmark rather than a feeling. Automation is not about being clever — it is about removing the step where a tired human forgets.
Documentation is part of the work, not after it
Every lab I run gets written up the way a client would receive it: scope, method, finding, impact, remediation. Half of security work is being able to make a risk legible to somebody who does not read packet captures for a living.
Let's talk about the hard part.
Open to SOC Analyst, Security Analyst and Blue Team roles. Based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and comfortable with distributed teams across time zones — I have spent three years working daily with a head office in Japan.
